Andrew Raff of Raff Angus, a highly regarded cattleman and judge, will adjudicate on a unique occasion at the Royal Easter Show on Saturday 24 March commencing at 1.30pm. This will be the first combined showing of the Shorthorn, Beef Shorthorn and Australian Shorthorn breeds at the Sydney Royal, arrangements necessary to maintain the identity of Beef and Australian Shorthorns having been negotiated in good faith between David Spencer, for the Society, and Steve Carter, President of New South Wales Shorthorns, those arrangements being approved by the cattle committee of the RAS of NSW.

More than 80 cattle will be exhibited.

The very well-known Raff Angus herd, comprising some 200 stud females and about 800 purebred commercial females, previously based in Queensland, located quite recently to an 800 hectare aggregation at the south eastern end of King Island.
